Creative Health Futures is a multi-disciplinary research network bringing together academics with clinicians, policymakers, artists, and communities to explore how creativity can transform health and well-being.

Our focus now is on convening researchers across faculties, developing strong partnerships with organisations such as the NHS, WYCA, and LAHWN, and aligning our work with regional and national priorities. 

By joining Creative Health Futures, you will be part of a growing community committed to exploring how creativity can shape healthier lives. Together, we will: 

  • Build new interdisciplinary collaborations across the University of Leeds and beyond. 
  • Connect with external partners in health, culture, and policy to co‑design impactful research. 
  • Contribute to national conversations on Creative Health, ensuring Leeds plays a leading role in shaping future practice and policy. 
  • Support the development of curriculum and opportunities for students to engage with this emerging field.

The Leeds Arts Health and Wellbeing Network (LAHWN) supports people working in creative arts, culture, health, care, and academia to work collaboratively, share ideas and maximise resources.

Hosted by University of Leeds’ Cultural Institute and funded by the city’s health and care organisations, the Network is open to all individuals and organisations interested bringing arts, health and wellbeing closer together.
